Are you left handed?

I am.

If you’re not, you should try it some day.

It can be a challenge.

Have you ever tried to play the guitar? I have. It is even harder to be taught by someone that is right handed. First of all, you have to put your strings on upside down, and then change hands, so your instructor is teaching you his way, but it becomes quite hard to grasp because he doesn’t change his guitar around.

Have you ever tried to use a can opener? I have. We go through can openers about every 3 to 4 months. I have now switched to using it half the right handed way and half the left handed way. Here’s a test. Take your can opener and hold it with your left hand, now, with the right hand, turn the handle towards you. Its like doing it backwards. At least for me.

I should live in Europe. Where their stick shifts are on the left side. But wait, could I drive on the left side of the road? Probably not, there would be a lot of accidents.

Have you ever tried to learn to knit? I have. My grandmother was trying to teach me. I didn’t work out too well. In fact, I would have to say that it didn’t work out at all. I was all over the place, backward stitches and then regular. I gave up, so did my grandmother. But you know its funny, my grandmother was born left handed. They tied her arm behind her back in school and hit her with a ruler if she didn’t use her right hand. You would think that she would have had some pity for me. Not a chance, I’m wondering if they still should have been tying hands behind backs when I was a child. Might of made things easier.

Even in this day and age, people still say, “Hey, are you a south paw?” “That’s different”. I prefer to call myself “special”, or hey, how about “unique”. That works.

Besides, being left handed does sometimes provide challenging, but what is life if everything is going to be simple and I’m always up for a challenge! Yah, I like being a lefty.

Hey Corinne, you are special. You should be riding with your Right hand if you're a southpaw. (so you can throw your rope with your left). But, I'm right handed and I ride with my Right hand (don't plan on throwin no ropes), but that's because though stronger, my left wrist is unpredictable. But now I know you're a southpaw, I'll be yelling "keep that Right hand down!!!" When you come out to ride the Rusty-man. Bunny
