There’s one robin, sitting in a tree...
by Bianca Boonstra
copyright 02-03-2002

Age Rating: 10 to 127

It is amazing, what I see
Snow is falling from the sky
There’s one robin, sitting in a tree.

Walking outside, feeling free
River water flowing by
It is amazing, what I see.

A winter wonderland unfolds to me,
Somehow, wishing I could fly
There’s one robin, sitting in a tree.

So, birdseed… placed outside to be
A snack for birds, at least to try
It is amazing, what I see.

In a few seconds, one…two…three
Birds… in my heart I cry…
There’s one robin, sitting in a tree!

Amazing…the robin family
“He’s not alone “, from relief I sigh…
“It is amazing, what I see
There’s one robin, sitting in a tree!”

So where did his family go if only one is sitting in the tree. The poem reads well and I did enjoy the vison. Anthony

This was beautiful. It reminds of before I moved, I could look outside and see the robins 'dancing' around in the trees.
