I hear the drums beating.
The drums have words of their own.
Sometimes they are speaking.
Sometimes they are silent.
Because they are from a world of their own.
Do they speak to you?
Can you hear?
Can't you hear?
For you are the spirits always near?
I'm caught between two worlds.
It's not good or evil that you and I
have always been told.
I'm just caught between two worlds.
Always seeking warmth to escape the cold.
I'm one from two worlds.
Two worlds.
The running blood in my veins.
From the sea to the wind.
All the animals that be.
I'm one from the land of the Katlet Clan
of the Cherokee.
Cherokee.
May I speak to all of the other tribes.
To the nation of the Apache.
To the nation of the Lakota Sioux.
To the nation of the Comanche.
May I speak to all of you.
As well as the tribes of the Amazon.
And all of the shadows of the sun.
May I speak this one from two worlds.
Two worlds.
Some say the arrows are broken.
But true vision is much deeper than that.
Words are words but the spirits words have
yet to be spoken, spoken.
The spirits are a part of you and I.
Of course we always ask why.
So why am I one from two worlds.
Two worlds must I live.
I've learned not to forget.
But yet I've been given the strength to forgive.
Being one from two worlds.
Two worlds.
My blood is mine.
But is from two worlds.
I am happy that the drums beat for me.
One from the Katlet Clan of the Cherokee.
Speak to me all the tribes of our Mother Earth.
Should we forget our past?
Pay no attention for the present.
Disregard and neglect our future.
Should we forget the nature of our blood?
For what then are we really worth?
One world, two worlds, how many more?
No more.
No more.
Yet the drums are beating.
Beating.
Beating in two worlds.
My world.
Your world.
My world.
Two worlds.
