Good Bye To You.

Good Bye To You.

I met you fifthteen years ago.
You had been one of my best friends lover.
About a year after meeting you....you started to make passes at me.
I resisted your seductions shrugging it off as closeness.
Couldn't do that to one of my best friends.

You chased me for two years before I gave in.
You made it so dam easy to fall.
That was the day you brought friend against friend.
It didn't bother you at all.
For years you went back and forth, it only mattered who had what you wanted at the time.
What was convenient only for you.

You hurt me bad this I know.
Just yesterday I was talking to you...said you were going to be my lover.
Then this morning I call and you are hanging up on me.
There is no longer that closeness.......
And you are no longer my friend.

This time I did not give in.
You had the ball in your court .....you had the ball.
You've brought it all, even the friendship to an end.
We could have had it all.
Now I am telling you there will never ever be another time.
So have a good life and good bye to you.
