I knew a clown named Patches.
Who always played with gooses.
A clown he was and a funny one
at that he was a clown who wore
a frown.

Children came from all around
to lay in the grass and watch
Patches play with the gooses.

They shouted and laughed "look
at the clown with a frown
whose name is Patches and all
he does is play with gooses."

Patches played with gooses
he was the clown with a frown
and a funny one at that.
