The Frumpy Old Rag
by Anna Kindred
copyright 02-14-2002

Age Rating: 7 to 127

I've fallen down the crevice,
hopelessly spriraling down.
I claw at the sides and scream,
it won't be long before I drown.

The stacotic sounds of laughter,
are following after me.
As I attempt to keep my head above water,
I'm doomed as doom can be.

Once I was loved and cherished,
at one time someone cared.
But now I'm just a frumpy old rag,
I'm just an old beat up teddy bear.

I remember being sold off the shelf,
my owner promised to love me forever.
I was there to dry his tears,
with all his fruitless endeavors.

And now I'm thrown out with the trash,
without as much as a goodbye.
I suppose the world will never know,
that teddy bears really do cry.

I liked it especialy the discription of a teddy bear all used up.

You said it all in the next to the last stanza:
"all HIS fruitless endeavors." Don't waste your time on the negativity of someone who isn't worth it. Spend your time with friends who know you for who you really are. I wish you well.
