Heaven Can Wait
by Lyle Berry (Age: 61)
copyright 02-15-2002

Age Rating: 13 to 127

I don’t dream of angels, harps and things – or having my own wings
I don’t dream of golden streets or pearly gates
I only dream of loving you, while my heart soars and sings
All I want is here on Earth – Heaven can wait!

Heaven can wait!
My rapture’s here!
When you melt your body into mine
All my miseries disappear

I celebrate!
My reasons clear!
I want to hold you ‘til the end of time
In your arms, I know no fear

So when the Reaper comes
and he’s rapping at my gate
Heaven can wait_________!

No, I don’t dream of Eternity, I only dream of you
I don’t dream of other Worlds far way
I don’t dream of tomorrow – today’s the best that I can do
All I want is here and now – Heaven can wait!

Heaven can wait!
My rapture’s here!
When you melt your body into mine
All my miseries disappear

I celebrate!
My reasons clear!
I want to hold you ‘til the end of time
In your arms, I know no fear

So when the Reaper comes
and he’s rapping at my gate
Heaven can wait_________!
