Rising above Mediocrity

Longing for truth to supercede fantasy-
When lovers rest their tireless lips
Upon the ineffable wake of day…

Yearning for life beyond the grave

When dreams of paradise bloom esoteric ponderings
Beyond the shell of my superfluous being

When the aroma of spring
Surrounds budding thoughts,
Rousing me to rekindle my muse
Into translucent heights of heated embrace-

Hungering for a taste of all that remains holy-
Where the “priorities” of life are rewritten
Into sands of a timeless journey

Craving for the feel of your silken ensemble
Where I am caught up in the fiery embrace
Of your open being

That leads me to the unbounded
Realm of supernal prosperity

Transforming with you
Into the glimpse of god’s unblinking eye-

Whenever I have the privilage of coming across a fine work such as this I thank God in Heaven for my somewhat advanced vocabulary, for it I would be rended completely unable to indulge in such wonderfully intellectual revelry. This is a fine piece of transcendant passion, woven tightly together by a uniform refusal to conform. This piece particularly delights me in that it disproves some rather omninous words spoken to me by my psychology teacher. She told me, with upmost certainty, that I would marry an intellectual and not a romantic. This piece proves that one can be both intelligent and passionate, and so I am given new hope for my future. :)
