Villanelle of Joy
by Sharron Tyrrell
copyright 02-24-2002

Age Rating: 1 to 127

Flakes of white drift on the air
burdened branches touch the ground
this joyful beauty here to share

Here in the meadow without a care
peace reigns without a sound,
flakes of white drift in the air

Hidden near the foxes lair
abandoned stumps gentley crowned
this joyful beauty here to share

Across the trail the hopping hare
between the drifts there in a mound
flakes of white drift on the air

Chased here buy a baying hound
lost in shadows round and round
this joyful beauty here to share

From this point I stand and stare
eyes drinking in beauty abound
Flakes of white drift in the air
this joyful beauty here to share

You make snow sound so nice; I don't particularly like snow; seen too much of it. Still, I like your poem.

Beautiful descriptions. Some minor misspellings but it is the content that counts. Great as usual.
