When You Live in the House of Illusion
by Anna Kindred
copyright 02-25-2002

Age Rating: 18 to 127

When you live in the house of illusion,
you learn to live in confusion.
Am I really here,
did I cry a tear?
I'm living in total seclusion.

When you live in a house of insanity,
you no longer trust in humanity.
You live for the lies,
and wish you could die.
Forever you'll question your sanity.

When you live in a house full of pain,
you begin to look forward to rain.
With a stab in your heart,
you are torn apart.
And your soul has a permanent stain.

When you live in a house of seclusion,
you get lost in all the confusion.
There's a price to pay,
for living this way.
When you live in the house of illusion.

Interesting thoughts. I like the way the poem
is laid out; almost like a limerick, but with a slightly different rhythm.
