The evening sky
full of many hues,
there's pink and gold
and shades of blue.
Your golden eye
sinks out of sight,
behind that mountain
you take your light.
Such stillness here
as you fade away,
you've gone to light
someone else's day.
You leave me here
on the mountain top
with a coal black sky
where the moon will stop.
With twinkling stars
all silver and bright,
It's breath taking
this shining night.
Nightime silver
Daytime gold
something I treasure
as I grow old.
