I ran down the hall in hysterics,
like a private inside of the barracks.
I was running late,
for an important date,
so gracefully I ran like Bo Derrick.
I got in my car and it died,
I turned back the key and cried.
All flustered and red,
I should have stayed in bed,
instead of taking this emotional slide.
I went back into the house,
feeling like a terrible louse.
How could I forget,
this date that I set,
my pea brain is that of a mouse.
I sat back on my sofa in sorrow,
more brains I will need to borrow.
I could not believe,
all this time that I grieved,
for my important date isn't till tomorrow.
