Bleeding Tounge
by Robert JudeAce

Age Rating: 18 to 127

When you first arrived the snow was gently falling,
The wind swirled flakes onto your hair
As hawks flew into the trees to tend to their nest…

We walked into our snowball euphoria
Inside a sphere of untold mystery
Where time is suspended and dreams are forever
Where life is majestic within our grasp…

When your first revealed your heroic quest
To surround the landscape with your poetic zeal,
With angelic whims to save the world
Or maybe throw me a lifeline
As I thread the waters within your thoughts…

But something infuriated you to send me away
To walk into the forest by myself in the dawn
To leap into madness without reason or motive
Without words to fill my vacant surprise…

As I walked in the snow I watched your ghost
Approach me wildly like a heated warrior

As I glanced to the ground it was like crystal quicksand
There were no footprints only broken glass
Aiming upward to the tempered sky…

Your phantom approached me,
Touching my face
Placing fiery lips onto mine
(My tongue reached wildly for the stars)

And as the sky reverberated with thunder
Blood rolled from my lips onto the ground.
