All Of My Lies
by John Mcleod
copyright 03-03-2002

Age Rating: 18 to 127

The woman sitting next to me said that she is going to die
I thought 'Aren't we all dear' and let out a sigh
she said she wasn't playing around this time
she had had enough of the world passing her by,

I turned around and looked at her
and saw that there was no tears in her eyes
"The world don't owe you nothing" that is what I said
she held her glass tightly till it broke, then she bled,

"Hey what the fuck do you think you're doing?"
"You will spill that shit over my new suit"
She mumbled words I could not understand
I was embarrassed as others started to look,

When she left I heard car brakes screech
the dull thud said it all
she was not joking, she killed herself
dead before she had time to fall,

She was on my mind for a week ot two
and I guess I could of been more kind
I could of lied and said that all would be well
she would of believed me for a little while,

A few years later a man said to me
he had enough and he was going to die
I thought 'That's what you think buddy, not this time'
He is still alive, he believed all of my lies,

Wow, thanks everyone, sometimes we need a little space to ourselves in order to see what is really there to write about.

This is stunning,.. what a thought, A few lies
may keep someone with us. The only problem I
