Gypsy
by Peggy Bertrand
copyright 03-04-2002

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Gypsy roamed and combed
Stranded and very branded
In a land not belonging
And always longing

For a place to settle
To nestle in the woods
Amongst the nettle
Dawned in velvet hoods

Around the camp fire dancing
While all the while glancing
Shades of ember and auburn flickers
Shooting up into the night sky like stickers

Gypsy’s roam always alone
Outcast from the world
They are their selves they never clone
Never try to even if they could.

A Gypsy’s life is meant to roam
Amongst the worlds homed.

Its amazing how they live. Like a Robin hood gone bad. That's my opinion. I think they are cool. Talk to you later.
