The Sun Spoke to Me
by Eileen Waldron
copyright 03-06-2002

Age Rating: 13 to 127

The sun spoke to me:
"in my apricot orange glaze
before I commence to blaze
I await your thankful gaze."

"I want you to know
the deep crimson glow
is the beginning of the show
before I am set free."

"I want you to stay
to see the end of day
before my last blazing ray
gives way to the moon."

"Leaving the days light
to the coming night
is a spectacular sight
that comes too soon."

"My glorious setting sun
tells you day is done
now dreams are begun."
"As they get under way

"My sister moon will light
the darkness of the night
and help you to take flight
until the break of day."

Your words conjoured up fantastic images. I like how you befriended the sun and the moon. Excellent.
