He came out of the astral plane
seeking lost souls to gain
But his ways were most curious
making the religious furious
Against all their laws he rebelled
So they said he had come from hell
No place for him in their vocabulary
He was a righteous revolutionary
His first recorded miracle many thought divine
When he changed water into the best of wines
This did not impress the rigid Pharisees
They could not abide this man of mystery
When he continued teaching and healing
They devised ways of double-dealing
How could such a man claim to be God
He slept on the ground was shabbily shod
Though his words were unique, full of wisdom
How dare he act like he knew more than them
He did not cower nor relent in his quest
For his Father in heaven knew what was best
Even when they hanged him on a tree
He didn't complain for he knew he was free
And even now thousands of years aside
His message is conveyed both far and wide
No matter how far it goes into the past
This righteous revolutionary message will last
It came to us in the form of a man and a dove
Sealed with salvation by Creator's grace and love.
