Must be Strong

Must Be Strong Now

When I was a kid you were the strongest person I knew.
I'm not talking about the abuse you gave to me.
Your words , your tone of voice were strong.
The look in your eyes were pure fire.
Used to be very afraid of you.

In all my 41 years of life I can still hear your words.
Words so deeply embedded in my brain.
They have served me well.
You.....the person who hated me from the begining.
I know.....I was not of your blood.

For all you put me,through I got older and grew.
Yet you will never know what you did to me.
I struggle to keep the memeories where they belong.
I called you today.
Was afraid for you.

As I listened to you and your words.
So many emotions running through my brain.
Something is wrong I can tell.
You will not tell me.
Must be strong now.

Very interesting Barb and suffice to say I agree with the other commentors on this one.

To dismiss someone, for something they have
no control over, is the lowest.
I hope this is just a poem, and not
and event in your life.
