The fire was dying
embers turning to ash
the candle was waning
flickering, leaving, just
as my love had left
though I still have his
essence over me.
everything around me
was becoming darker,
colder, and dying.
What seemed like moments
ago, all was bright, warm
cheerfull,glowing, music
playing,love flowing, exciting
ebullient,effervescent, we
live, we laugh, we love, we laze
we lose ourselves in amourous maze
and now no longer ablaze
I'm left in lonely lachrymation
until our next assignation.
