A World Of Sights Unseen

Inspired by Billwunder's ROSE FOR THE BLIND at BurningWord.com
@~~ @~~ ~~@~~

A Garden of flowers where all colors are found
Blooming variety if we'd look but around
Take just a moment to stop and smell the roses
That are tempting senses and teasing our noses

Red pyracantha and fragrant gardenia
Sweet smelling freesia and some dainty camellia
The paper-like orchids, azalea's, carnations
These flowers represent people of all nations

What, then, is portrayed by Lilly of the valley -
Born with silver spoons or living in an alley?
Common dandelion, now is that just a weed?
Wouldn't it be nice if we all had what we need

Bells of Ireland are like rolling green heather
Pink Ice protea lives in Australia's weather
Snapdragons or sunflowers, they both bloom in fall
While the calla lilies aren't a Lilly at all

The flowers of the world keep blooming like crazy
Lizianthus, tulips, sunflowers, and daisies
For even the graceful and elegant iris
Makes our eyes hunger and keeps us desirous

Blue collar or blue blood, we watch flowers unfold
Unless we blind our minds to the stories untold
Look the other way and then maybe you won't see
How hatred's herbicide is spread liberally

This beautiful garden, the one in which we live
Takes far less from us than all it tries to give
Colors splashed around upon a backdrop of green
Don't walk blindly about thru a world of sights unseen

This is wonderfully written. Each of us need to get out and travel more. This garden is the world, and to stay only in our little patch keeps us from seeing the beauty of the entire garden. There are so many places to visit (I have seen quite a number). To travel is to learn, to understand, to appreciate.

Thank you. And did you get the point that the flowers are people of the world... each one watered by God and precious in his eyes?

We need to stop and smell the flowers! This is lovely. Anthony
