Girl Missing
Chapter 9
by Peggy Bertrand
copyright 03-14-2002

Age Rating: 18 to 127

“ I remained sitting on the front porch, my thoughts started to drift away.” she continued to explain, “I seen a girl with a coke can standing by a car with the words 7-11 above her head looked like a sign.” She paused.

“Then I seen her still by the car when two images of men only their faces were fuzzy.” She paused again. “They grabbed and dragged the girl off towards their truck the colors were white and turquoise. “

“All I remember after that was the coke can falling from her hand over and over the scene kept playing in my mind.” She finished talking.

“Sally that is the description of how the clerk at the store said happened.” Marcus commented. Then he asked her,” Terri what time did you see this happen?” Terri replied,” between 1:00 A.M. and 1:30 A.M. “

“How could you have known that?” Sally asked of her.

“I told you it is the gift call it what you want but it’s the gift.” She replied.

“Marcus that was our baby she was seeing.” Sally said.

“I wanted to let you know that I have been having feelings strong ones about Karly.” She said rather slowly. “I feel that we can find her she is still alive.” She stated with urgency this time.

“Terri, what in earth do you mean?” Marcus asked her.

“I feel that these two men haven’t well I know this is hard but they haven’t killed Karly.”
She hated to have to say that to them.

Sally suggested that Terri meet and speak with Tom Rogers he was the detective in charge of their case.

“No I wont have a thing to do with Him.” She said firmly.

“Why not Terri?” asked Sally.

“I have tried before to meet with him in other cases and he doesn’t believe and he wont listen.” She meant it you could tell.

Marcus looked at Sally and she at him. Sally spoke, “Terri would you be willing to speak with Aaron Wolten.” “He is the officer who first came that night to tell us about Karly.”

“He left his card with us.”’ I’m sure he would listen.’ Said Marcus almost pleading with her to agree.

Terri looked at both of them their faces full of hope at that moment.

“I will call him,” said Terri.
