Girl Missing
Chapter 19
by Peggy Bertrand
copyright 03-17-2002

Age Rating: 18 to 127

Bruce and Aaron went back inside of the duck blind .

Chet and Gary were headed back to Sioux City at full throttle they wanted to get Karly medical attention.

Terri still viewing the rescue scene from the other side realized that Aaron and Bruce were remaining there alone, they’re going to wait and capture those two assailants.

She had her cell phone in her pocket. She reached for it and called the Police Station.

She had memorized the stations number she speed dialed it. Sioux city P.D.

She asked if she could talk to the Sergeant. Just a moment she heard the receptionist state.

“Hello this is sergeant Rolliard.” A husky voice answered the call.

“Hello Sergeant Rolliard I know this is going to sound strange but I don’t know who else to alert. “ she said with urgency.

“Go on what is the problem.” He said.

“Officer Aaron Wolten is with another officer twelve miles up stream waiting I believe for the two guys that kidnapped that young girl Karly Cain.” She replied.

“Whoa wait a minute.” He said with concern.

“They are not even on this case.” He continued.

“I know it was a haunch I had given Aaron. I mean officer Wolten about Karly.” She replied.

“I’m sitting across the river on the bank watching the whole thing.” She continued.

“Did they find the girl and is she alive?” asked the Sergeant.

“Yes they did and she was alive.” She said.

“There were four officers she is coming in with two officers and Aaron with another officer remained behind.” She said.

”I will send out reinforcement right away.” He said.

“I didn’t catch your name miss?” he said.

“ Terri Miles.” She replied.

“Also sergeant you will need a boat to get to where they are. I’m up river exactly 12 miles from Riverside Park. On this side of the river on a dirt back road next to the river.” She replied.

“Oh I almost forgot, they are taking Karly to the Sioux City Marina I assume that is where they launched out from.” She also told him. She rememberd that Aaron had told her thast earlier that morning.

“I will have an ambulance ready for them.” He said.

“Thank you Terri for all of your help.” He said.

They hung up and Terri settled in to watch what would conspire next as this case begins to unfold.

The cat also settled in next to Terri seemed she had made a new friend she thought to her self.

The river was still and no motion from the Duck blind across the river.
