When Tradewinds Blow the Blues
by Denny Sisson (Age: 80)
copyright 03-17-2002

Age Rating: 10 to 127

When Trade Winds Blow the Blues

Chorus

When trade winds blow the blues
And all that's right goes wrong.
All we have we lose.
It's the end of the song.
When trade winds blow the blues.

It was a happy time
across this southern sea.
All these worlds entwined
'round you and me

The balmy breezes blow
And whisper in the palms.
Birds sing songs we know
to help our love grow strong.

Then from a leeward isle
A boat came one day.
It came to carry you
so very far away

Chorus

When trade winds blow the blues
And all that's right goes wrong.
All we have we lose.
It's the end of the song.
When trade winds blow the blues.

M.D.(Denny) Sisson wrtefrfn

This is a brass-hat song that will make everyone who reads it say hats off!! to this marvelous writer!! The syncopation and syllabic meter was perfect in this piece. It is like you can hear the beat ticking and pounding away when you read the lyrics. The most important thing is that it is a song with a good wholesome message and crux. That is so nice to see and read in this day and age.It is impressive to see that there are still fine writers such as yourself still around.
Sincerely,Eric

The blues ride the waves of this story and I liked reading it even though it is a sad story. Anthony
