Its Come back
by Kimberly Grim (Age: 28)
copyright 05-31-2001

Age Rating: 13 to 127

In a heartbeat,
the world changed.
I suddenly wasn't invincible.
The opportunities I thought I had,
suddenly seem so distant.
The plans I'd made,
so important,
didn't seem so needed anymore.
The words ring in my ears.
"It's come back"
The doctors with their compassionate faces,
each one secretly glad it's not their life in my hands,
the way mine is suddenly in theirs.
They echo kind of funny, don't they?
Their kind words, steeped in sympathy.
The "C" word looms so ominous,
and I see deaths shadow on my door.
Time is standing still,
and all I want is reverse.
I want time back before.
No interest in that hearse.
I need the chance to say,
that I'm sorry for whats done.
I'm sorry for whats more.
I want to tell you that I love you,
and know that you hear.
For i live only in a moment,
only out of fear.
Life is fast becoming death,
each passing second a memory not mine.
Please remember for eternity,
I am solely thine.

I try to imagine the pain you feel, and know that I cannot. I will do all that I can to help you through your rough times. I am happy you found this place to tell your thoughts and vent your emotions, behind the saftey of the net. I know you personally, and will continue to see the truth in what you write about. Always. Your friend Marc
