My Mind

I lay down beside you
Tethered in my silence,
screaming through the treetops of my mind,

asleep probably dreaming,
things you're not receiving,
you slip through the fingertips of my mind,

a darkened fight within me,
cannot find my ending,
I'm lost in the distance of silent time,

twisting and turning,
this heart of mine keeps burning,
a desire only humans can define,

feelings burn right through me,
my fate will subdue me,
in the moment that your lips cross over mine,

I prey in my silence,
you feel my heart beating,
and with your hand you will reach out for mine

I lay here beside you,
only if you knew,
I only see you from the corner of my mind,

I imagine you are with me,
beside me,
beneath me,
imagining I am with you
beside you
beneath you

only sweet images I have found to releive me,

from these thoughts that exceed me throughout

the lucracy of my silence,

the only comfort I can find,
