Martha Stewart Unplugged

Martha Stewart Unplugged

I guess Martha would start her day getting out of bed.
Pulling off her blinders,
Shuffling to her kitchen, half awake.
To pour herself an already brewed herbal coffee.

Sitting down to read all the last weeks papers all unread.
And looking at her list of reminders.
While deciding for her next show what to make...maybe crumb cake?
Suddenly noticing her coffee has the consistency of toffee.

Mid morning she decides to work in her flower bed.
Only to find some animal has stomped her pansies.
Then the cell phone starts to ringing.
Her agent wanting to talk over new ideas for the next show.

So, into her house she has fled, wondering if she ever should have got out of bed.
Thinking to herself maybe I'll make some candies.
The cell phone still a ringing.
Taking a big breath exhaling slowly, two or three aspirins you know.

Lunch time she decides tuna fish sandwiches, something cheap.
After lunch maybe some shopping.
First the making of a disguise.
No chips with lunch to much fat content.

Not into soaps, she eats her lunch on her self made patio, not cheap.
Maybe shopping, she will shop without stopping.
Must say that the disguise was wise.
Like going out the main event.

Well shopping she went her and there, picked up some groceries, for a gourmet dinner.
A good bottle of wine.
Some crafts and embroidery and stencils.
Martha Stewart went shopping.

After dinner she searches the Internet and works on her printer.
Working on her second glass of wine.
Thinking what she can stencil.
Martha Stewart never stopping.

After her fourth glass of wine, she settles to her couch.
Watching Jay Leno and feeling rather mellow.
Soon she's feeling sleepy and she shuffles off to bed.
Tomorrow a new show.

Maybe she'll teach viewers to make a pouch.
Or maybe show viewers a new mold for Jello.
For now it's off to bed.
For tomorrow's a new show.
