Death It's Not Over

Death It's Not Over

As of lately death has reared his ugly head.
It's on T.V. everyday if you watch the news.
Buildings crashed into by terrorists and gun shot fire.
More closer to me my friends are dying one by one.
The sad part is that it's not over.

When I was a young child death came with lies.
My parents doubting my comprehension.
Or perhaps only to protect me.
As a young adult I was told that crying does not bring them back.
Still, the tears fell.

All my friends or people I know are dead or dying.
Yet if you think about it...death is but an end to a new begining.
God takes us when it is our time to aspire.
Remorsefully I say good bye and pay my respects one by one.
Over and over.

I am not so young anymore and I sometimes wonder when I will dye.
Please don't get the wrong impression.
Death has just brought his attention to me.
Wicked laughter, the grim reaper all in black.
Heaven or hell?
