If I Could Shut Off My Feelings.


If I could shut off my feelings.
I'd do it in a heart beat.
Then nothing would matter at all.
Then life would be just going through the motions.
Just wouldn't matter.

If I could turn on my feelings.
I'd be fighting for what I believe in.
You give me nothing to go on.
My energies come from...
Nature, children, animals and life.

Still reality as it is, I still have feelings.
Don't feel as much as as complete.
Thinking that at my age I should have felt it all.
Instead I am having them all over again and one by one.
It should matter.

If I could shut off my feelings...
Just the same there would be secrets you would not believe.
Still sane I know that life must and will go on.
Considering my energies and where I come from...
Still life would be life.
