Warrior's Song
by Herb Burd
copyright 06-01-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

My winds are not like yours.
I am that of the four.
Understanding of the earth,
the blood of my birth.
Have we met once before.

Animals of the land and sea.
Part of you is a part of me.
Are you of the day or of the night?
Have you flown with the eagle in flight?
Are you here for all eternity?

Upon the pedestal of life I stand.
Time passes me by.
Destiny a grasp within my hand.
Fate awaits with a silent sigh.

Have the stars ever spoken to you?
Does the river flow through your veins?
Have you walked upon the flame?
Are you the sun? Are you rain?

Are you the prsent or the past?
Have you walked where the shadows are cast?

I liked this a great deal. I often find myself thinking, if I was God, but then I remember, I am just a man. Very nice read.
