Spun Gold Hills

by Peggy Bertrand
copyright 04-04-2002

Age Rating: 7 +

In the distance
For an instance
My eyes did see
Hills all spun in Golden Fleece

Hilltops twining
In the sun still basking
It’s golden rays still dining

My eyes do feast
On even the one of least
Of the hills in the distance

Early the sun rises from the east
It bathes the hills like a priest
Late the sun will descend in the west
I will watch from a distance

Nice job, Peggy. I can remember just such scenes.
