Rainbow Mist
Leaping from the rocky heights,
she flees to the golden pond,
through the roaring waterfall,
into the solitude beyond.
Soaring with freedom,
found in rapid flight,
leaps out of the golden tarn,
back into the pool of light.
Whipping through the cattail reeds,
she vanishes into the black of night.
Dull gray mist announces dawn
and quiets her restless flight.
Knowing it is time to retreat
deep under the thundering fall ~
disappear in the colorless mist.
this legend we all recall.
The mist of a waterfall
showered her with bliss,
Rainbows on a Rainbow,
like a lover's kiss.
Note to reader, rainbow is a type of trout.
