Time Too Swift
by Bea Sheftel
copyright 04-05-2002

Age Rating: 13 to 127

I was a little girl
with dark hair curled
and bright brown eyes
filled with curiosity.
smiles like my badges
glowing with pure joy.
My world was small
a universe of family
with loving arms
and gentle words.
Time stood photo still
in black and white
now yellowed with age,
crumbled to dust
and I am gray
and young no more.

Bea, Beautiful so powerful in so few words.

Excellent, Bea!
What a fine-tuned description...you encompass so much in these few, well-chosen words!
