Strumming the Guitar
by Peggy Bertrand
copyright 04-07-2002

Age Rating: 10 to 127

I watched him strum the guitar
He was on stage a star

I was young then he was older
Life moves on and it becomes stronger

As it moves along into time
And one finds them in their prime

A memory of ones days long past
So far away and yet now at last
Shadow in front of me and cast

Forth a vision of the Star
He still strums his guitar

In my mind he never stopped strumming
And from time to time I still continued humming

To a tune of music that he had composed
My thoughts then I closed

And in full attention
I followed into the new dimension

Strumming his guitar
My old friend the star

Bringing me thru the time
And enjoying his music in my prime

Do well all have a past that is outlined with
what we listened to in the past,,, I loved this
one.

You poem made me envious of the rich quality in the gift of being able to play music.

Oh yes, you've really struck a chord with me, Peggy (*S*)
Reaching into the past, music can rejuvenate us...
I really enjoyed this!

Muscic is always the thing that brings forth memories from the past, whether it is (our song) or just a tune that reminds one of a specific thing in their life it always hits the spot.

A different poem that speaks volumes of truth.

This is lovely, very nostalgic feeling. It seems music is always a memory maker.
