Release Me

I close my eyes to the hate you have ridden in on,
Although I should probably run,
You close your eyes to the life I have chosen,
Afraid you have lost control over one,

You tempt me with gifts,
Hoping I will subdue you,
And forget all I have worked for
Let go of my will,
And please you,
Let go of my soul to relieve you,
But your work is never done here,

You said you would never leave me,
Yet you were smiling behind my tears,
You said,
"No its God-who's deceived you"
Saying
"Come this way dear I'll take away your fears"

Yet you are the One
Who deceives me,
You are the one so tired of your ways,
Yet you are so sad and angry
Wanting to blame your pain on the human race,

But this time I’ve learned you,
And you have a bag of rats
You can't stand me choosing my freedom,
Instead of the lines of forever you try an attract,

In some ways I feel sorry
Because at one time you were everything,

And in some ways I feel angry
For how many souls you’ve helped misplaced

And in some ways I feel broken
For you’re a foe I once let in,

But now you only cramp me with rain clouds
For it is God I have finally chosen

The road of life leads in many directions and many paths. Choosing the right ones is the task we face. All have gone down wrong paths, but the trick is to recognize and correct you're mistakes and to go on. This sounds like your on the right track! Anthony

This one truly came from the soul. I hope the journey wasn't too traumatic.

This sounds like a very painful journey, but the ending very hopeful and strong!
