Part of me is broken,
An innocence lost.
Is all of me gone?
Or simply covered in the frost?

I’m not sure where to go from here
Or where my path shall lead.
All I know is now I’m hoping
That someday I will be free.

You covered my life in
Shades of gray,
And the bloom has slowly died.
Colors are muted

Fade to black as they say
For this scene in life is closed.
Now begins a new day
And my eyes will see the host.

The possibilities of life
Are now mine for the taking
Though the choice is hard
And my heart is breaking,

I will be free.
