Enchantress
by Laryalee Fraser (Age: 68)
copyright 04-12-2002

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Primrose glances, warm, inviting;
sun-dipped tresses, willow-thin.
An acquiescent aura floats,
a sultry whisper draws you in.

Layered curves of petalled softness
frame a blushing, bright-eyed sheen;
as tufts of golden tassels nod,
you sink in velvet-textured green.

Fragrance melts between your fingers,
swirls through mounds of snowy lace;
from rosy drifts of pale chiffon,
seductive tendrils brush your face.

Silent notes of adoration
fill your soul, uplift your heart.
You search for words to write the song
a garden's beauty can impart.

An innocent yet powerful siren of nature, wouldnt' you say? *soft smile* And when I walk thru the garden center at work I often take my time, walking with eyes closed and all other senses wide open! Just beautiful!~

What a delightful fragrant garden you have planted with your thoughts and words.

I can see a beautiful garden with hanging willowy trees and dog wood pedals on the stone walkway with an array of colors in the gardens surrounding, pretty,..peacefull.

You've all warmed my heart with your comments....I was a little hesitant that I may have gone a bit overboard on the descriptions!
I'm glad there are so many garden lovers here!
:)

Beauty has so many forms, you blended two of them so perfectly.

What can I say, Lary... not a misplaced word or thought. If talk of a garden can impress an surly old curmudgeon like myself, it must be pretty close to perfect. Cudos...

Outstanding metaphor!
