Angie's Spicy Chicken Bread Roll
by Angie Engle
copyright 04-20-2002

Age Rating: 7 to 127

I created this chicken roll to be served as a family meal, or at special occasions. It is so moist and delicious!

You will need:

1 long retangle cookie sheet
Pam cooking spray
1 loaf of frozen bread dough
1 can of chicken gravy
1 32 ounce jar of chunky salsa (I use mild, but any temp. will do)
1 cup cooked rice
2 cooked boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 ounces of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 diced tomatoe
1 small can of diced jalapeno peppers

Spray cookie sheet with Pam and place frozen dough on it to rise. (takes about four hours to rise)
Cook your rice and chicken. (I pressure cook my chicken)

Heat your oven to 350 degrees.

Once the dough has risen, pat it out the length and width of your sheet.
Drizzle some salsa down the middle and length of the bread.
Scoop rice down the center from top to bottom.
Dice the chicken and put a layer all along the top of rice.
Place diced tomatoes and jalapeno's all along the top.
Pour remaining salsa on top of it all.
Pour gravy all along the top.
Sprinkle cheese over everything.

Now you take the sides of the dough and carefully bring them together at the middle, overlaping them so you can seal them together. You are creating a long roll.

Once you have done that, you seal the ends.
Take a knife and pierce the top of the dough a few times to create air vents.

Bake for 20 to 30 minutes until bottom crust is golden.

Now eat and enjoy!
