Destination Of the Mind
by Peggy Bertrand
copyright 05-08-2002

Age Rating: 18 to 127

Shifting, drifting, confused mind
Blinding, drafting, your eyes blind

Lies deceit pain drifting to find
Life is like a cobweb destroyed by wind

Life’s lessons giving us time to be refined
Endless dreams my mind and thoughts kept confined

Scenes and memories fade in and out to remind
Breath of life still remains the prevailing wind

My state of being in need to unwind
Motions of these illusions follow from behind

This I ask you to bear in mind
Is exactly what I will leave behind?

Shifting, drifting, confused mind
This the destination of all mankind

Thought-provoking, Peggy...and marvellous descriptions! Sadness in it, but it also holds a valuable lesson.
Nicely done!

This poem is far too true! Sad, that we all journey to this same destination, but you captured it with such insight!
