  The Art Of Friendship

FRIENDSHIP can be a valuable asset if you choose to make this an important endeavor in your life. Each of us has been put here for a specific purpose..establishing a place within our hearts and souls where sharing, caring, and love can exist between friends. Each one of us can offer the HAND OF FRIENDSHIP to all who come our way, remembering that what we do in life, always comes back to us a hundredfold.

With all of us being human, problems, disputes and arguments are bound to occur. Many issues can be misunderstood and misinterpreted, but true friends are strong enough to deal with and overcome the trials and tribulations of negative feelings which are put in their pathway.

What friends say to each other can leave a lasting impression, either for good or bad. In order to maintain a lasting friendship, you do not have to agree with what has been said, but never consider answering in the heated anger of the moment. Let the matter rest for awhile, rethinking what has been said and discussed. Try to see the other person's point of view, keeping in mind that each of us is entitled to our own thoughts and opinions about any and all issues.

When a friend has made a mistake and admits to doing wrong, true friends have the ultimate power forged within their hearts to forgive and forget. In letting bygones be bygones, this friendship is better able to move on to bigger and better things.

True friends last through thick and thin, being there for each other through the ups and downs, then looking beyond past mistakes that have been made and offering forgiveness.

What comes to my mind when I think of True Friendship is 1st Corinthians 13: verses 4-8.
' Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. '

I hope that what I have said as a True Friend finds its way into your wide open heart, where the inexhaustable words of love will take effect
immediately.
