Sunday Morning

I woke up early Sunday morning
Not a single shred of warning
Just how beautiful the day
Against the Arizona mountains
of red clay
Sun was pouring down its rays
Seemed like an endless glorious display
Aroma of fresh brewed coffee gliding
up the stairs
People will gather at the church in prayers
Many will tell about their cares
Lots of them will be telling their share
And in the end many spilled tears
Yet I can't stop thinking how wonderful
Sunday mornings they look different
more beautiful
Than any other day of the week
As many sinners forgiveness seek
Many for the day are quiet and meek
Sunday is a day for the family
to be together
Even in good and bad weather

Peggy, what a marvellous atmosphere...you really bring it to life! It's heartwarming....for some reason it brought to mind that song (Johnny Cash?) "Sunday Morning Comin' Down" -- except it's a sad one, and this is joyful!
