Mystic Bells
by Peggy Bertrand
copyright 05-21-2002

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Far in the distance
strikes a whispering chime sound
Beating out stanzas of undertones
that begin to loudly pound
Penetrating inside my
slumbered imagination they whisper
Chimes telling mysteries
bringing the soft sounds in crisper

Entangled are the bells chime
mingling with the blind wind
Drifting in and out
surrounding me with gentle
whispers in my mind
Distance has drove you
swiftly to my side
Tingling and mingling sounding
chimes on the glide

Sliding up high above the sea
and over the land
Chimes of the bells song
flying and strumming like a band
Mystic ancient mythical bells
chime music tune
Surrounding and encircling
the great white moon

Chime high chime low
winds begin to blow
Far into the distance a
whispering bell sounds real low

In the distance where my mind drifts
to the sound of mystic bells.
