A bronze kettle
vibrates
inside a box
made out of green marshmallows.
It simmers
and releases pink steam
into an amber sky.
Chocolate covered wooden soldiers
guard the box
while saluting
an orchard of yellow and black striped trees
that grow jelly beans
the size of sausages.
Bag pipes making noises like parakeets
serenade the air
until everything becomes a blue clay
that turns into copper chunks of inspiration
exchanged
for some golden epiphany sand
only mumbled while sleeping.

What fantastic images, William -- an Alice-in-Wonderland setting!
(Better hope the Jelly Bean Queen doesn't catch sight of those trees, LOL!) Must have been quite a dream...
I'm curious about the title...??
Thoroughly enjoyed the trip!
