On The Limb
by Peggy Bertrand
copyright 05-23-2002

Age Rating: 4 to 127

So small a little brown fluff
One could blow him over with a puff

On little amber toothpicks he wobbled
He stood on the edge of his
nest a worm he gobbled

My breath I almost lost
As the small little bird fell in exhaust

Tiny little creature with wing feature
His mother will soon be his flight teacher

One day soon he will walk to the edge
Stand on the limb's ledge

Let the wind sweep through his wings
Not a care he will have for things

What a delightful, lovable glimpse of this little fellow, Peggy -- some great images here!

Oh to be a bird, without cares such as we humans have. You made me envious. Great work.
