Your smile
My heart races
My soul lifts
I feel alone
Yet
I feel surrounded
By your love

We’ve never met
Yet
Your voice keeps me company
In the long dark night
And when I feel afraid
I close my eyes
And
I feel your arms surround me
With strength

Your words
Paint a picture of love and friendship
Of tenderness and caring
Mixed with humour and jokes
When we become too close
And
Teeter on the edge
Between friendship and love

We’ve never met
Still you haunt my dreams
Invade my thoughts
And have stolen my heart

And in my mind
We came together
And walked hand in hand
Into the setting sun.
