Sometimes life surprises us with a gift
it hands to us a memory worth keeping
and we do, for the rest of our lives...
we cherish and keep it dear ...a gift

Sometimes life blesses us with a friend
it hands to us just who we've been seeking
and we dance, for the rest of our lives...
we dance close and near ...a friend

Sometimes life grants us a wish
it hands to us exactly what we're needing
and we're grateful, for the rest of our lives...
we've one less reason to fear ...a granted wish

I'd like you to know that sometimes,
more often than not, I've started believing
that my heart has danced and I'm grateful.
I cherish you ...my gift, my friend, my granted wish

I have a special friend who deserves to smile once in awhile and I've tried to make them do just that. Then to top things off my brother FINALLY married his girlfriend of over six years. It's about time! I made a card and put this poem in it and signed it as follows:
