A Quick Note To A Long Time Friend...
by Mary -BrytEyz- Ball (Age: 38)
copyright 06-10-2002

Age Rating: 1 to 127

Sometimes it's hard to do everything you want
and do the things you need at the same time
Sometimes I feel like a clown in this life
trying to juggle my wants and needs in rhyme

It's hard to work and give it my all
when I'm so busy thinking of you
Sometimes it's hard to be my best for anyone
when you're the reason for all that I do

I work and I sleep and I work some more
The clock spins around at a dizzying pace
And amidst the blur racing around me
when I look, I see only your face!

Sometimes when I sleep and call out your name
I swear I hear you answer me somehow
But when the dawn comes and I wake to the day
I realize that you're not with me right now

I can't always hand you the same worn excuse
or explain all that eats up my day
I can only hope that you'll still understand
and know that I love you in my own way!

Sometimes I think it's best to just let you go
and stop making you hang on like you do
But I'm afraid if I say it you'll do it
and I don't really want that... cuz I love you!

.....
words... they're never enough! are they?

A tickle in mind, walks miles in reality, writers what we call, message left on a stump, never quite enough, just a passing of voice in a heart open, writer you are, holder of the gift, share even in time gone.. Caught this post and it triggered a old painting... thanks Walt

Words don't always say what we want said thats why we write so many different poems on this and other subjects. Love and friendship like family always carry a piece of our hearts and therefore we will never forget the love. We see the face of love in all we do in life and as long as we look at it in this way we cannot be wrong. How could love be wrong! Anthony

CLB...
You know more than some,
and even more than MOST.
You don't know everything,
but you come pretty damn CLOSE!
LOL...
He/Her... does anyone know?
It's all just a MYSTERY.
I can't say everything or
reaveal all that's within ME...
*sigh*
But with you around, my knight
I don't really think I need TO.
That's just part of being the friend
that I'll always have within you!
HUGS!

Real and poignant, BrytEyz...it could apply to different situations, but the sincerity is what stands out....and your tender heart!
:) Lary

Thanks all for reading and especially for commenting. Bob, I did send this on to her. It was my way of apologizing for not writing in so long. She checks her e-mail faithfully, and only occasionally finds one from me. She's very understanding of my situation at the moment...and I can never thank her enough! :-)

Ah yes, love is such a tangled vine to endure at times. True, words aren't always enough, but sometimes they have to be.

Maybe you should send this to whom you reference... at the very least, you'll feel better. Nice work, Mary.
