Irrefutable Truth
by Nancy Pawley
copyright 06-10-2002

Age Rating: 1 to 127

  Irrefutable Truth

She nervously paces back and forth
Like a cat on a hot tin roof
Tasting cherries atop whipped cream of the north
Positive she's found the irrefutable truth

She hurries down to the local soda jerk station
To enjoy a humdinger ice cream tune
The notes got stuck in slowmotion claymation
Frozen hard in January, now melting into June

Monday's quite manic, Tuesday's so trite
Wednesdays are weird, Thursday's tut-tut
Fridays seem fiercesome, Saturday's a sight
Sundaes are best, sporting sprinkles and nuts

A nice little adventure in snacks. Good transition from days of the week to an ice cream sundae.
