I've Fallen In Love...
by Mary -BrytEyz- Ball (Age: 38)
copyright 06-13-2002

Age Rating: 1 to 127

Because I now realize that I can
I've finally fallen in love with who I am
If I told you life was a roller coaster ride
Would you believe me, or perchance deride?
Things have been up and down, but in the long run
No matter how crazy it gets, in the end, it's been fun!
I've seen more sights than I ever knew possibly existed
And fought off more than I ever thought I could've resisted
I've found the world's most valuable treasure right here in me
And saw the beauty always hiding because I refused to see
I discovered unchartered lands and places to hide
In the wonderful world that was buried inside
I've finally fallen in love with who I am
Because I now realize that I can

This piece of art not only sounds good, but it has visual style, as well! Too bad it didn't end up in a heart shape. But it shaped up pretty well, hehe! But really, all kidding aside, I do like this. You have to like yourself in order for anyone else to like you. And what is 'like' if not just a lesser form of love? I think this one deserves more than 3 points, and I'm giving you 5. Now write something new! How about entering a contest? There's a challenge there just waiting for you! ;)

You are a force to be admired. Thanks for this and you....Ilove ya, anyway! Thanks, Anthony

It's amazing what a little self-realization can do, isn't it? Now that you've found it, tell us more about it! It's exhilarating, trust me!

Interesting reading style and I enjoyed the subject of the poem and the way you handled it.
