Castle Of Muse
by Peggy Bertrand
copyright 06-20-2002

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Far away and not long ago
My mind shot and arrow

Of thoughts that I had thought
Ones that my muse had brought

Of a castle in a distant memory
In halls of emotions so ghostly

A place where white satin drawbridges
Gallant men of Knights wear bronzes

Damsels lie in wait for dreams come true
Day skies of auras of unnatural blue

Lurking in the dungeon of the mind
Lie wait the damned emotion blind

Far- away hidden in my fantasy muse
My thoughts do pay the dues

Shivery and gallantry at it's best
My dreams a place of peace is my quest

Emotions come to a rest
My love thoughts I keep abreast

Hidden deep within the Castle of muse
Safe with my muse in charge of
my thoughts my masseuse

Super thought, Peggy! This is a wonderful view of your muse...The image is fascinating...and how lovely, to feel those fingers massaging our thoughts, sigh...

I love the idea of the muse as a masseuse. Who, but a true poet could ever find that image in the head? Very memorable.

What an adventure! Isn't it a shame that these wonderful things sometimes exist only in our minds? Sounds like your masseuse is doing a good job...

Thanks for sharing, Peggy, I enjoyed this.
