Enchanted Globe
by Peggy Bertrand
copyright 06-25-2002

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Within an enchanted globe
Here no one is allowed to probe

Settled for many centuries
Lay a castle in
wait full of enemies

Surrounded by a sea
of green envy
Leaving all outside
the globe clammy

Spirits howl and strike
Ghostly images of deathlike

Whispers of enchantment
rule the night
Farther beyond the darkness
way into the twilight

No human creature nor
human could sustain
So ruthless and desolate
is the terrain

High above the enchanted
castle in the globe
The sky wears a rainbow
for a robe

Formed from teardops
of colored pain
Encircling with rainbow
colored tearstains

Enchanted it will remain
the castle in the globe
Until the day of the enchanted
knight to conqueror and disrobe.

I wish we could all dwell in a place of enchantment without fear. Nice to see the beauty in something so often ignored.
